7th Update: 1:03 PM
January 10th, 2009 by Joshua Barratt
We’ve now passed the 12 hour mark in this adventure, and thankfully Amber’s getting a chance to sleep a little bit.
Not much progress to report, things still going pretty steadily. Still around about 5cm. We have successfully gathered the Grandparents at this point with the arrival of my mom Shirley, who got up and drove all the way down this morning (hugs!).
As you’ve probably noticed I’ve fallen into updating this more or less at the top of the hour, will try and continue that trend so you don’t have to reload very often.

This is so cool! It’s like we’re right there with you. Are you getting pictures too? I can just see Josh setting up a cool studio right there with umbrella flashes and a backdrop cloth hanging behind Amber’s head. She’ll have the best labor photos ever. Amber, you’re a warrior! Carter is so blessed.

I will be taking photos as soon as the camera battery’s charged. (Ooops!)
Decided against the whole flash fiesta though — I will certainly admit I was tempted but I went simple and clean.

Love and prayers to all, keep up the good work Amber, sorry we told you 4 hours tops, then
you’ve always been your own person. We love you all and wish we could be there. Can’t wait to meet Carter.
