Welcome to Carter’s first cousin Zealand!
And I’m an Uncle for the first time too, awesome!
My brother Luke and his wife April just let us know they had their baby this morning: Zealand Christopher Barratt. Can’t wait to see pics and hear more about them, sounds like he’s happy and healthy which is a true blessing. And he’s a redhead too, which makes it extra cool that they used my dad’s name for his middle name. The Barratt gene keeps making baby boys!
A moment of silence for my mom, who must be going crazy with getting her new business off the ground and having her first Grandbabies 9 days apart and 960 miles apart.
Update: we got the birth details and some photos!
Zealand set the bar high, Carter’s going to have to work hard to catch up:
8lb 8oz, 21 inches! Congratulations to Luke and April, can’t wait to see them! We’re already texting back and forth baby tips like crazy.

What a blessing! Please send our first congratulations and love to Luke and April when you next speak to them. Carter and Zealand are going to have so much fun together. Do you have any details other than red hair, weight, labor at home etc..?

Yeah, I love his hair, it’s amazing! They have really similar noses too :) Can’t wait so see them all in person, hoping the possible Spring trip works out!
